Trim Levels
The Ford F-250 Super Duty comes in six trim levels for you to choose from XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The XL is a standard work truck with limited features, while the XLT and Lariat include more comforts at a higher price point. The more luxurious trim levels are the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.
Engine
There are three engine choices available for the 2022 F-250 Super Duty. The standard powertrain option is a 6.2-liter V-8 that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque paired with a 6-speed transmission. There's also a 7.3-liter gasoline V-8 engine that makes 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque and a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V-8 with 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. Both the 7.3-liter and 6.7 diesel options come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The XL, XLT, and Lariat trim levels have rear-wheel drive as standard, with the option to upgrade to a four-wheel drive to increase the power of your vehicle. This four-wheel drive comes standard with the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited models. You can also choose an off-road package called the Tremor, which includes 18-inch black wheels with off-road tires, skid plates, upgraded suspension, and a revised air dam that provides a better approach angle.

Though there's a large range of towing capacities depending on engine and configuration, the strongest F-250 can pull up to 15,000 pounds. Safety Features
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA), the crew cab configuration of the F-250 Super Duty has a 5-star crash test rating, while all other cab configurations have a 4-star rating. The Super Duty has many driver's assistance programs that it offers as options to increase its safety capacity. Some of the safety options include automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.
