Designed to deliver only top-notch performance, the 6.8L V8 gas engine is the heart of a reliable workhorse. The available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine enhances overall performance and reliability under heavy load conditions. The available port fuel-injected 7.3L is the most powerful gas engine in its class. There’s no mistaking the sound of turbo performance, and the 6.7L HO Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine is ready to move mountains from the moment you push down the pedal. The TorqShift-G 10-speed automatic transmission is offered on all gas engines and has enhanced low and midrange, with three overdrive gears for optimum towing power and performance. You also get to choose from five selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Eco, and Tow/Haul. The TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission is offered on all diesel engines. This transmission offers the same optimum towing power and performance as TorqShift-G but is built to withstand the higher torque of the Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine. You get to choose from four selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, and Eco. The available Tremor® Off-Road Package has two additional modes: Rock Crawl and Trail Control. With an available power take-off (PTO) diesel torque of 300 lb-ft, and gas torque of 250 lb-ft, the Super Duty PTO provision offers more power for upfits just when you need it. For added strength, the 10-bolt PTO mounting pattern provides a more secure mount for larger PTO devices. The 6.7L High Output Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel B20 engine utilizes diesel engine exhaust braking. This feature restricts the flow of exhaust gases from the engine to create back pressure, which helps to slow the truck down. It also improves driver control while traveling downhill and reduces overall brake wear.
