Trim Levels
The 2022 Explorer comes in eight different trim levels. Mileage on the base Explorer begins at 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The other trim levels include the Explorer XLT, the ST-Line, the Timberline, the Limited, the ST, and the Ranch. The trim levels above the base level come standard with Ford's dynamic Terrain Management System that allows you to change driving modes with the use of a center console dial.

The Explorer features a dynamic sound system that includes a 12-speaker B&O Sound System. The Explorer includes other features, such as the SiriusXM satellite radio system. The Explorer has climate control options, including automatic temperature control features. FordPass Connect allows you to sync your smartphone to the vehicle. FordPass Connect also provides a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
